Old Dominion's sixth album is set to arrive Aug. 22, and her name is Barbara.
"We’ve been writing for Barbara for a couple years. We dug back into some older stuff, and newer stuff to create something that stretched who we are and even challenge our fans a bit.
We like to experiment and not repeat ourselves so that’s how we came to this collection of songs on Barbara.
There are some vibes on here like “Water My Flowers” sounds very different from anything we’ve done, very Huey Lewis in a fresh way.
“Miss You Man” is a heartfelt song written about one of our good friends that we lost.
There’s really a lot of depth to this album but since it’s us playing it and singing it, Barbara still sounds Old Dominion."
